“You Don’t Know Me… But You Will.”

Finally!

Well, I have submitted my application to the School of Communications at American University. Now I’m waiting for the letter of recommendations to get in. I have no idea how I will pay for this if I get accepted, but I will worry about that at the proper time. I always told my kids not to worry about how to pay for college. If one doesn’t get into the program then it doesn’t matter how to pay. However, once in the program it is just a matter of “finding the funding.” So, if accepted, I will find a way to pay.

MEANWHILE…

What up with the media frenzy over the presidential polls… in August? Silly shit.

I love the questions; “Why isn’t Obama running away with this?” “Is it because voters don’t know who he really is?” “Is it because they are not really sure where he stands?” It is because the GOP is successfully turning this campaign into a referendum on Obama. This is a good strategy… for a while. The more the Rove disciples who are now running the McCain campaign try to put Obama in a box, the more they open their own candidate to scrutiny. The problem for Obama is the same he faced vs. Hillary Clinton. She could slap him all she wanted, but if he slaps back he is a black man smacking a white woman. If he starts REALLY slapping John McCain then he is a young black man smacking around an old white man. Notice the common denominator? ’nuff said. I love the contortions the Post put themselves through trying to explain why Obama isn’t blowing McCain away, but without stating the obvious.

C’mon. folks. We know the deal, right?

Check Eugene Robinson’s article from today’s Washington Post. My man gets it.

McCain’s strategy will be effective… for a while.

Updating this with a piece from Clarence Page – he makes some salient points, but he is dancing as fast as he can trying not to get the whole of white punditry pissed with him.
